The observations and guidance on the principles of Ayurvedic nutrition are based on specific and personal needs. These will cover, amongst other areas, dietary rotation, the use of seasonally fresh ingredients and portion regulation. The program will provide an exciting dietary experience raising awareness about food energetics and, last but not least, understand the role of digestion in determining nutritional value of, food.

What is Ayurvedic Nutrition, and how can it help?
What is the ideal diet for humans? Are we meat eaters or vegetarians? Is there one ideal diet for all?
Ayurveda can answer these questions and give guidance on how to build an individual diet on a general framework of cyclic living. Whether carnivore, omnivore or herbivore, the Ayurvedic principles of nutrition can be applied to any diet.
Whatever the dietary preference, Ayurveda aims at building healthy tissue, increasing vitality and resilience and the priceless self-sufficient knowledge of utilising food as preventative medicine. On the flipside, it also gives insights into understanding what, and equally importantly when, food has the potential of becoming toxic and harmful.

Program material, Journaling and 121 Zoom Calls
Once entered the program, the students will go through an initial assessment, which will determine the direction of our personal coaching journey, running alongside the theory. Each student will have access to a selection of presentations and videos to learn in theory how Ayurveda works. Combined with their personal practical journey the program will create profound learning experiences to increase confidence in their own practice once graduated.
Until solid daily routine has been established, the students will need to keep a daily journal and schedule a 121 call with Anu on a weekly basis. This is valuable for their own accountability and also to have a record of your achieved results. This way students will never have to feel stuck without no one to turn to. With daily check-ins we make sure everyone is on the right path.
The knowledge is assessed at the end of the program. It can be taken anytime after three months of time from the start of your learning journey. Students are also expected to hand in a number of case studies (20) to fully qualify from the program. At completion, we recommend joining the APA – Ayurvedic Professionals’ Association.

About Your Teacher
Anu is the founder of Jivita Academy of Ayurveda and author of Ayurveda Detox: How To Cleanse, Balance and Revitalise Your Body.
She has been involved in education in Finland already when studying in the university of Helsinki in the Nineties. The real passion for teaching was inspired by her turn of career from language studies to Ayurveda.
Trained in clinical Ayurveda, Anu released soon that to get results with clients they needed fundamental education on basic healthy living. Ayurveda is mainly about self-care and most of the times clients need help in understanding what is in their power to do.
Having started teaching in a yoga teacher training school called Yoga London in 2010 she developed her interest in education and launched Jivita Academy of Ayurveda to respond to the high demand of quality courses with hands-on approach for therapists and nutritionists.
Two main courses are offered by the academy at the moment: a 200h intensive training for therapists and a 200h certified online program for Ayurvedic Nutritionists.
Her passion in education is also visible in client work. Anu is passionate about translating ancient wisdom of healing into modern context. She empowers her clients to take charge of their own health by increasing awareness in nutrition based on their individual needs. Incorporating her twenty years of practice and teaching of yoga Anu’s approach to healing is almost unique to anywhere in London or the UK.
Anu has created a community of enthusiasts by teaching that health in its right form brings about joy in life. Healing and recovering in her opinion do not exclude fun and enjoyment but are an extension of balanced and abundant life.
