Our monthly events offer a welcoming space for exploring health and well-being through the lens of Ayurveda. Often with a guest speaker these informal gatherings focus on specific health topics each month, such as stress management, digestive health, sleep disorders, or boosting immunity. Guided by Ayurvedic principles, we delve into the root causes of these issues and discuss practical solutions to promote balance and vitality.
Each session begins with a short introduction to the month’s topic, highlighting how imbalances in the bodymind system can manifest as discomfort or illness. Participants then explore Ayurvedic healing modalities, such as dietary adjustments, herbal remedies, mindfulness practices, and daily routines (Dinacharya), tailored to address the specific health concern.
The relaxed group setting fosters open conversations where participants can share their experiences, insights, and personal healing journeys. This exchange of thoughts and energy creates a supportive environment for growth and transformation. Guided meditations or gentle breathing exercises may conclude each event, leaving everyone rejuvenated and inspired.

February - Fat fasting

From an Ayurvedic perspective, fat is like currency. It is the most precious tissue at this time of year. Depriving yourself of fat in winter will easily backlash especially in terms of weigh loss.
Fasting with fat is the best way to remove toxins from the body, especially during winter months.
Fat fasting involves consuming high-fat, low-carbohydrate foods to encourage ketosis.
Snehana – Oleation
With its emphasis on ghee or coconut oil, fat dfasting helps in regulating metabolic processes improving tissue lubrication aligning with Ayurveda’s goals to nourish the nervous system and detoxify the body. Lipophilic toxins lodge in our adipose tissue and the only way to remove them is by ingesting healthy fats. Fat metabolism helps stimulating stagnated fat and accumulated waste and stimulate agni, the digestive fire.
